things to do, pt. 1

Wednesday, April 11th, 2007

things daniel wants to do before he dies young:

1. take a road trip
2. make a road trip movie
3. write a road trip song

say goodbye to #3! it’s called “60 car lengths”

on another note, who’s up for knocking #1 off this weekend? sorry, i have plans…

lyrics below if you can’t keep up…
(more…)

an early merry x-mas to me

Sunday, December 11th, 2005

for x-mas this year, i got myself some trip-hop: “the promise land”

i promise i’m not racist, and also merry x-mas!

p.s. i’m sorry this isn’t that funny… or maybe it is, and you just haven’t given it enough time to sink in yet!

some days, it’s just a simple slide of the hand.

Thursday, November 3rd, 2005

so i went the other way after my last song (“the world keeps falling apart”), which would be this way:

“the lightning hardly strikes the land”.

i’m saving consistency for my 50th wedding anniversary.

crippled

for those of you who don’t know, my arm has been crippled. crippled by too much rocking! …and also from sorting mail at some stupid studio. so this is a song that came out in the days before the accident. rediscovered, recovered, and re-ready to be reshown.

the world keeps falling apart

it’s called “the world keeps falling apart,” and it’s in response to the millions of e-mails we get a day telling us to rock much harder. now, to sit back and wait for the record deals to come flying in (send all record deals to here).

also, we’ll probably be starting a lyrics page soon for those who love bad karaoke.

city lights

and here’s officially the unofficial sequel to “big city girl.”

it’s called “city lights,” which i think is reasonable enough.

burbankian obscurity.

the ocean

anyone know of any good places to live in l.a.?

and don’t you dare say the valley!

oh, and the first new song in over a year: “the ocean”, written by me.
