for emergencies dial 9-911.

some spanish
today, i’m removing “some spanish”
from the skills section of my resume.
who am i kidding?
it’s got me thinking back
to the job i had
four jobs ago:
the one i have to remove because
the experience isn’t relevant enough
to what i’d be shooting for now.
what great memories i had there, though!
i even got to speak a little spanish!
if only there were some way,
instead of worrying about a time when i was happy,
if I could hold onto THIS,
and realize that i’ve been happy,
that i am happy–
wouldn’t that be something!

this is good.
if i weren’t so hungover,
i’d be jumping up and down right now.
“going forward,”
as all these e-mails from my boss would say.

Why do we rush to graduate college?! Everyone always say, “I am a career student” like it’s such a bad thing.
I wish to go back everyday of my working life.
