fitzgerald, part 2
i’m discussing conspiracy theories
with my landscaping crew.
i tell them that the kennedy assassination
would never have happened under their watch,
that the grassy knoll would have been properly kept.
they don’t disagree.
instead, they ask me a question
about my time in vietnam
that i’m not ready to answer yet,
so i tell them to forget about it,
i was just thinking out loud,
and that they really need to get back to work.
