interim boss: anthony, i have to be honest. i’m really not too familiar with what you’ve been doing. have you been keeping busy?
me: sure, i guess.
interim boss: OK, good. make sure you stay busy.
me: do i go now?
interim boss: what do you think your co-workers think about you?
me: i don’t know. they usually just tell me to make sure i keep busy.
interim boss: and are you?
me: am i what?
interim boss: keeping busy?
me: sure, i guess.
interim boss: and how much are we paying you?
me: not nearly enough.
interim boss: well, make sure you stay busy, then. if you need anything, let me know.
me: i go now, right?
