I am writing to request a myriad of services you, as a landlord, are obligated to make in order to this apartment habitable under California state law.

· Please amend the heating situation. We don’t have any.

· Please fix the faulty wiring- namely the switch in the living room wall that shoots out electricity occasionally.

· Please fix the faulty plumbing in the bathroom. The shower and sink leak. The shower fixtures are pulled from the wall and expose the pipes. The overhead light has no sconce, and makes a ringing sound when turned on. The toilet is also in perilous condition.

· Please fix or replace the water heater. Our showers run cold after two minutes, and do not get very warm at all.

· Please have a professional check the stove. There might be a gas leak.

· Please fumigate the apartment for roaches and other bugs.

· Please add a cover to our mailbox, as it points upward, and our mail gets soaked with water when it rains.

We have researched the laws applicable to such apartment repairs, and have found that 30 days, with the exception of the heating situation, is an acceptable time period for these repairs to be made. Under state law, heat should be supplied as soon as possible.
